when canadian national railway decided to shut down the rail line between camrose and alliance alberta, the grain farmers between the two communities stepped up to the plate.they purchased the line from c.n. and formed the Battle River Railway as a means of shipping thier grain to the world.congrats to a great group of people. the engine and passenger car in the video are from the alberta railway museum.

ive been on here for a year now.the older ya get the faster the time goes.after the end of the msn groups i wandered all over the net and ended up on canoe.ca.thanx for having me.in april my wife and i usually plan what to put in the garden, but the last few years we have wondered if we should have one at all.last year we were going to miss because of our planned trip to ontario.i fear gardening is in our blood. i opened our pail with the veggie seeds and there was a half pack of radish seed.well we should at least put that in. yep. that led to a full garden complete with spuds and squash. this year we been talking banff and/or n/sask. "its going to be too dry for a garden this year" i told my garden loving wife. " we will see" she said. i thot geez im not going to get all those photos of banff i want. iwent in for lunch today and thot id plead my case and there on the table was a half pack of radish seed....
