What is this? A pet? It's a chicken. Shouldn't it be in a bucket, or nuggets, or out laying eggs? A chicken isn't a pet? Many might think that way, but this handsome fellow is Mr Red Bubbles and he is my pet. Many people keep birds as pets. Sure keeping a chicken as a pet isn't the same as a bugie or a canary but in some countries chickens are considered as exotic as any Cockatoo or Macaw. My boy here is named Mr Red Bubbles and he is a one year Ameraucanas/Araucanas bantam rooster. His name came about as a mistake. He was just months old when I got him and I thought he was a she. So I named him Amber because of the rich red color of his feathers. After a few months, a crow or two later and Amber = Red. Throw a Mr in front and there you go. Bubbles was added when I noticed that he often made a bubbly sound when something made him happy. My rooster is also a special guy.
